Photo and gallery downloads

You need an active Plus plan to offer free or paid downloads. Paid downloads also require a supported seller country and currency and a Stripe account ready to accept payments. Free downloads do not require Stripe.

Confirm that you have the rights to share each photograph under the selected license. For paid downloads, you are the seller. Digital downloads do not include print fulfillment, a shopping cart, or client proofing.

Full-resolution JPEG is recommended. It includes your published ISO100 edits and crop. Upload the resolution you want recipients to receive; a small web export cannot become a larger, more detailed download.

Original upload delivers the file as uploaded, without ISO100 edits. It retains embedded metadata, including EXIF and any GPS location. Review that metadata before offering the original.

The photo’s Downloads tab shows the original file type and size when available. For free originals, Studio flags known files over 25 MB before saving; the file size is also checked when you save.

Leave permanent watermarks off the uploaded file. ISO100’s optional viewing-image watermarks do not appear in downloads.

ISO100 prepares the download automatically. Photos awaiting processing, review, or required permissions cannot be sold until those checks are complete. Bulk actions skip ineligible photos.

Generated Studio previews show eligible Buy and Download buttons. Clicking them shows a preview notice; purchases and downloads are available only on the published portfolio.

Free downloads are available from unlisted or password-protected galleries. An open public gallery cannot offer free downloads. Unlisted galleries without a password allow anyone with the gallery link to download; password-protected galleries require the password.

For an individual photo, open its Downloads tab, choose Free, select the file format and license, and save. Include the photo in an eligible gallery and publish. A photo’s settings apply wherever it appears, but free downloads are available only through eligible galleries, not standalone photo pages.

To change access, open Gallery details → Details and make the gallery Unlisted or require a password. Save and publish before sharing. Making a gallery Public without a password stops new free downloads.

Open a gallery, then Gallery details → Downloads. Choose Off, Free, or Paid, select the file format and license, and confirm that you have permission to offer every photograph. Paid bundles need a total price for the gallery.

Choose Save gallery, then publish. Gallery downloads include the published photos in gallery order and are delivered as one or more ZIP files. Individual photo downloads are configured separately; enabling a gallery bundle does not enable individual downloads.

Each original file must be 25 MB or smaller for free downloads, including originals inside a gallery ZIP. Prepared JPEGs have no additional file-size limit. If an original is too large, choose Full-resolution JPEG or Paid.

Free individual photo downloads and gallery ZIPs share a 25 GB monthly transfer allowance per account. The allowance resets on the first day of each month at 00:00 UTC. Paid downloads do not count toward this allowance.

Repeat downloads count toward the allowance. Check usage and the next reset date in Sales. Usage reporting can be delayed.

If a file or ZIP is larger than the remaining allowance, a new free download cannot start. Once the allowance is used up, new free downloads are unavailable until the next monthly reset.

Sales are off by default. You can opt in to enabling sales for new photos in Sales settings. New Studio uploads then inherit the account price and license, with per-photo changes available before upload.

This option does not enroll existing photos. Changing account defaults updates photos that inherit them; explicit per-photo overrides remain in place. Completed purchases keep the file, price, and license accepted at checkout.

Sales settings define the account’s default price and download license. In a photo’s Downloads tab, choose the account price or set a custom price. Change it only when this photograph needs a different price.

For several photos, select them in Photos and open More, then Download settings. Choose whether to turn downloads off, offer Free or Paid downloads, change files, set a custom price, or use the default price. Read the batch result and review any items that need attention; completed updates remain saved.

Save download settings and follow the publishing reminder to update the public download action. Check the selected file before offering it.

The photo’s public rights notice and the license offered to a buyer serve different purposes. Rights and visibility controls the public photo information. The Downloads tab controls the purchase license offered with the download.

Use Read license in the Downloads tab to inspect the actual terms before choosing it. Do not assume that changing a public rights statement also changes the selected purchase license.

ISO100 takes no commission. Stripe processing and applicable tax-service fees apply through your Stripe account. Review your Stripe pricing and tax obligations before accepting sales. Buyer prices include applicable tax.

Choose Personal use, Commercial use, or a custom license in Sales → Licenses. Commercial and custom use may require additional permissions. Buyers accept the full license before payment. Copyright stays with the photographer.

Purchase licenses are separate from the public rights notice on a photo. Changing a license or price does not change an existing purchase. Review both notices to avoid conflicting permissions.

Buyers receive the format you selected: a full-resolution JPEG with published edits and crop, or the unchanged original upload. Prepared JPEGs use sRGB and remove camera and location metadata; creator and copyright details are included when available. Original uploads retain embedded metadata, including EXIF and any GPS location. Gallery purchases are delivered as ZIP files.

Buyers do not need an ISO100 account. After payment is confirmed, the purchase page provides the download and a confirmation email includes a private return link. Download access lasts 90 days after payment; buyers should save the file before the deadline.

Purchase emails use the photographer’s name, direct replies to the configured buyer support email, and contain no ISO100 logo or branded footer. Email delivery uses an ISO100 sending domain.

The purchase link grants access to its holder. Keep it private. The page is marked not to be indexed by search engines; individual file links expire after five minutes. Reopen the purchase page to obtain a fresh file link during the download window.

Review purchases in Sales → Orders. Manage payments, refunds, and disputes in your Stripe Dashboard. Respond to buyer questions sent to your support address.

A full refund ends future download access. A partial refund retains access, and a dispute suspends it while unresolved. A file link already issued can remain usable for up to five minutes. Required consumer remedies are not limited by these access rules.

Turning off Accept new sales or disabling a photo stops new purchases. Existing purchases retain their download window after unpublishing, replacement, account closure, or a downgrade. Content restrictions can suspend access and flag orders for refund review.

Replacing a photo does not replace files in previous purchases. If a buyer has a download problem, ask for the order reference and contact support without sharing the private purchase link publicly.
