What ISO100 supports

Connect the domain

1. Open Portfolio

   In Studio, open Portfolio and find Custom domain below the publishing section. Custom-domain controls are available while Plus is active.

2. Enter your domain name

   Enter the domain name you want to use, such as example.com or photos.example.com, without a path. Select Connect domain.

3. Create the DNS records

   Add the CNAME and TXT verification records shown in Studio wherever DNS is managed for your domain. Copy each record name and value exactly.

4. Check status

   Return to Studio and select Check DNS after the records have had time to propagate. Keep the tab open only if convenient; the records remain available when you return.

Where to update DNS

• The CNAME record points your public portfolio hostname, such as www.example.com or photos.example.com, to ISO100.
• The TXT record proves that you control the domain.
• DNS providers use different labels for the same fields. Name, host, or hostname usually means the record name. Value, target, points to, or content usually means the record value.
• Remove any existing A, AAAA, or CNAME record for the same hostname before adding the ISO100 CNAME.
• If your DNS provider automatically appends the root domain, enter only the host portion it expects. For photos.example.com, that is often photos. Check the provider's preview before saving.
• For a root domain, follow Studio's separate redirect step after connecting www. Use a permanent HTTPS redirect and preserve the path and query string.
• If you use Cloudflare DNS, follow the proxy setting shown in Studio. A conflicting proxy or flattening setting can prevent verification.
• Keep email records such as MX and email-verification TXT records. Change only the hostname and records required for the portfolio.

Status meanings

After the domain connects

Remove or reconnect a domain

1. Remove it from ISO100

   In Portfolio, open the connected domain and select Remove. Visitors can no longer use that hostname, but the ISO100 portfolio address stays online if the portfolio is published.

2. Clean up DNS

   After removal succeeds, delete the ISO100 CNAME and verification TXT records at the DNS provider if the hostname will be used elsewhere.

3. Reactivate after a plan interruption

   When Plus becomes active again, ISO100 attempts to reactivate domains suspended for billing. Check the status in Studio; if the domain remains suspended, select Reactivate. Recreate any DNS records Studio asks for, then check DNS again.

Common gotchas

• Do not use an ISO100-owned hostname as a custom domain.
• Remove conflicting DNS records for the same hostname before adding the ISO100 records.
• Keep the ISO100 verification TXT record in place while the domain is connected.
• Only public portfolio pages use the custom domain. Studio and billing links should still point to ISO100.
• HTTPS setup starts only after the DNS records are visible. A Waiting for DNS or Securing domain state is not fixed by repeatedly publishing the portfolio.
