Arrange gallery thumbnails on your portfolio and photographs inside each gallery, using separate layout controls.

Portfolio overview and gallery pages
The portfolio overview is the list of galleries visitors choose from. Each thumbnail links to a gallery. Inside a gallery, the photo grid presents that gallery’s photographs. Changing one does not automatically change the other.
Arrange gallery thumbnails
- Open Portfolio > Appearance
Find the gallery overview controls.
- Choose the image layout
Cropped fills uniform frames. Contained keeps the full image inside a frame. Justified keeps complete images in aligned rows.
- Set shape, columns, and spacing
For Cropped thumbnails, choose Landscape 4:3, Square 1:1, or Portrait 3:4. Adjust the available column, width, and spacing controls and check the mobile preview.
- Choose a representative thumbnail
Open a gallery’s Appearance editor to choose a portfolio thumbnail when the header photo is not the best introduction to the gallery.
Arrange photos inside a gallery
- Open the gallery > Appearance
Use the photo layout controls for that gallery.
- Choose the layout
Flow uses mixed-height columns. Cropped fills uniform frames around each photo’s focus point. Contained preserves the full photograph inside a frame. Justified places complete images in equal-height rows.
- Adjust columns and spacing
Choose the desktop column count and spacing. Smaller screens use a responsive arrangement; preview both sizes.
- Review captions and navigation
Enable Show titles and captions if you want grid text. Check the Gallery navigation settings to choose where visitors go next.
Save one gallery or apply broadly
Save updates the current draft. The broader save options can apply appearance across galleries. Check the confirmation scope: gallery content, photos, visibility, and passwords are not copied as appearance settings.
Preview and publish to replace the live layout.
Open Studio to make the change.
